About Me.
My name is Annika, and I am originally from Copenhagen. I hold a bachelor's degree in Design & Business Creative Branding and an AP degree in Design Technology Marketing & Communication Design, both from KEA - Copenhagen School of Design, Technology & Business.
I am currently based in Paris, where I have launched my freelance career under my own name: ANNIKA MAYN. Previously, I've completed an internship at Swapper, a small start-up in Paris, and the city left such a strong impression on me that I decided to return and establish myself here professionally.
One of my greatest passions is fashion and design, and I thrive working within areas such as PR, events, community building, social media, and styling. These fields matches my interests, and I love expressing my ideas in creative and visually engaging ways. Photography, both analog and digital, is one of my favorite ways of storytelling and capturing moments of inspiration.
Living in Paris has been incredibly inspiring, offering me fresh perspectives and endless creative stimulation. The vibrancy and energy of big cities, especially Paris, continue to shape my creative vision and drive. I draw a lot of energy from my social circle, and spending time with friends, exchanging ideas, and recharging in good company is essential to my process. I thrive in community focused environments and love being part of spaces where creativity is shared and celebrated.

As a Sales Assistant at the Paloma Wool SS25 pop-up store on Rue de Turenne in Paris. I’m a part of ensuring that every person visiting has a warm and memorable experience in the showroom-inspired space. The pop-up runs from May 9th to June 15th, 2025, and reflects the brand’s creative, contemporary aesthetic.
As Social Media Responsible for jewelry brand Margaret Mae. I manage and shape the brand’s presence on Instagram, creating inspiring content and building a cohesive visual identity in collaboration with the founder, Nathalie. My work includes planning weekly posts, producing imagery and reels, and driving organic growth through thoughtful community management.
As a freelance PA and marketing assistant for artist Peter Funch, supporting the growth of Two Moon Editions. I assist with audience development, communications, and various ad hoc tasks, ranging from social media and PR to day to day project support.
I was responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive social media strategies across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. My role involved content creation, brand management, and audience engagement, ensuring alignment with our brand guidelines. I analyzed performance metrics, adjust strategies based on data-driven insights, and stay updated on industry trends to optimize our social media presence. Additionally, I leaded brainstorming sessions, develop content calendars, and fostered community growth through regular interaction and collaborations.

Additionally, I processed images and pack shots in Adobe Photoshop for the store's webshop, as well as wrote product descriptions and SEO texts in Shopify. We work both to develop visual and verbal brand identities based on in-depth research, and a strong strategic starting point, as well as with the actual activation of the brand across channels and platforms. The goal is that I get a good broad foundation to be able to create strong brands that consumers can relate to.

On the Design Technology course, I am introduced to methods and theories that give me the knowledge to be able to navigate the entire industry. On the course, emphasis is placed on my ability to approach problems from a new angle, but always based on the learned methods and theories. Throughout the course, I will both meet and solve cases for business.
Based on target groups, context, the market, culture and trends, I learn to design engaging communication and marketing, work with graphic design and visual communication, just as campaign and cross-media solutions are important elements of the baggage I get on the course.
I learn to decode the needs of the consumer, companies or organisations, just as I learn to generate ideas and develop prototypes in connection with the communication of new concepts. Among other things, I work with identifying customer journeys and developing customer experiences, strengthening corporate identities and branding them.
